The Columbia Center of AI and Responsible Financial Innovation (CAIRFI), in collaboration with Capital One, is pleased to announce its inaugural Call for Doctoral Student Fellow Nominations and Call for Research Proposals.
CAIRFI is a collaborative effort between Columbia and Capital One, with a mission to develop and deploy advanced AI technology in financial services and markets to improve financial service operation, promote responsible AI, assess risk, improve forecasting and testing, and more.
This year, CAIRFI will fund two PhD Fellowships through generous support from Capital One. Capital One Fellows will receive one year of funding for tuition and a stipend during the academic semesters in order to initiate independent research projects. Nominated fellows must be at least in their second year at Columbia Engineering, and nominations should be submitted by the nominating faculty member. CAIRFI will also fund two faculty-led Research Projects. Faculty at Columbia Engineering and other Columbia schools are eligible to apply. Projects will be funded at the level of $100,000 in direct costs. Learn more about the Call for Research Proposals and submit a proposal via InfoReady.
